What is Deep Hole Drilling?

Deep hole drilling is a specialised machining process used to create holes where standard drilling methods often fail to maintain straightness, surface finish, and dimensional accuracy over deep depths. DHD is done on solid bars. Our advanced deep hole drilling technology overcomes these challenges, providing consistent results across a wide range of materials and diameters.

What is Boring?

Boring is a machining process used to enlarge and accurately finish the internal diameter of a pre-drilled or cast hole. When applied to hollow bar, this process is essential for achieving tight dimensional tolerances, improved roundness, — especially when standard-sized hollow bar does not meet your exact requirements. This process is often a critical first step before honing, chrome plating, or final machining, particularly in applications demanding high performance and precision. We are using an internal coolant channel to efficiently remove chips.

What is Gun Drilling?

Gun drilling is a precision machining process used to produce deep, straight holes with exceptional accuracy. Originally developed for drilling gun barrels — hence the name — this method uses a long, slender cutting tool with an internal coolant channel to efficiently remove chips and maintain dimensional control at extreme depths. We are also able to do Gun Drilling on a PCD.
